Read Ephesians 3: 14-19
This past year has brought about many wonderful changes and new beginnings in my life that only God Himself could have orchestrated. One of those changes was the opportunity to help lead the Woman’s Sunday school class. When I was approached I was hesitant but at the same time very excited, and I knew right away that all I had gone through over the past couple of years had been to prepare me for what God was planning for me. God was teaching me humbleness and humility, and letting me know that it would never be about me but all about Him.
I was a little nervous thinking about if I was capable to do this but God told me, “Not you. I will be teaching the class through you”. Again God had it all planned out. Ann LeFevre was a tremendous help as God had led her to a great book which has been quite a blessing to all of us that attend and when Melissa was willing to share in the leadership of the class, it took away a lot of fear. God was working just as He was when Jesus was being lead to His earthly death on the cross. What a tremendous demonstration of God’s love, which lead me to the scripture in Ephesians.
Do we really grasp how much God loves us? That scripture impacted me this year like getting hit by a freight train. No really! And the passage states we will never even be able to begin to understand it. How unbelievably awesome is this?! There are just no words to describe Him or His Love for us! We experience all kinds of love on our journey in life, but do we realize that whatever kind of love or how much we really do love someone, it is only scratching the surface of how much He loves us.
I really would like you to ponder that. Think of someone right now that you cannot imagine living without and multiply that love by an infinite number. It cannot even be comprehended but this is how great God’s love is for us. It’s perfect love; His perfect plan established long ago. How He loves us so, and all He asks is that we grab on to His Son, His Love and show Him to the world through our actions and our words. It’s not much to ask, in fact why would we want to hold all this in? It’s almost selfish.
God really loves you and me and truly wants to give us the desires of our heart. I have never experienced His love as much as I am experiencing it right now. I will never ever be able to fully understand it but THE CROSS SAYS IT ALL! JESUS DIED FOR YOU AND FOR ME!
Thank you Father, Thank you Jesus, Thank you Holy Spirit!
